Sewing Confidence is a Rubia, Inc. program that began in 2009 to foster the social and economic integration of resettled refugee women through instruction in hand and machine sewing, applied English language and literacy, product design and business management training. Focused in Manchester, New Hampshire, the program is supported by the generous grants from the Women’s Fund of New Hampshire, Bridge Builder’s Foundation, The Delaney Sister’s Foundation, Gone Giving and St. Mary’s Bank, as well as individual donors. Brookside Congregational Church in Manchester provides classroom space.
Bags and aprons are currently on sale at Milltown Market, 1053 Elm Street, Manchester!
